History

  • 1886
    Founded when Prefectural Dojima Girls' High School, one of the earliest girls' schools in Osaka was established. KINRAN-KAI was the name of its alumni association.
  • 1905
    Kinran-kai Girls' High School, a five-year school, was established near Umeda area by KINRAN-KAI.
  • 1925
    Kinran-kai Girls' High School Alumni Association named HOYU-KAI assumed management of Kinran-kai Girls' High School.
  • 1948
    In accordance with the reorganization of the Japanese Education System, Kinran-kai Girls' High School was reorganized into a 3-year junior high and a 3-year senior high school.
  • 1963
    Kinran Junior College with a Home Economics Department was established on the same campus as the high school, in Umeda.
  • 1965
    Kinran Junior College moved to the present site, Kitasenri, and a Japanese Language & Literature Department and an English Language & Literature Department were added to the already existing department.
    Kinran Senri High School, a new co-educational six-year high school with consistency in education from lower secondary school through upper secondary school was established on the same campus.
  • 2005
    Kinran Senri High School became independent from Kinran-kai Academy,and has been directed by Kinran Senri Academy.
